Another great devotional today from my Pastor Jeff. This helped me put my doldrums into perspective on this maudlin day. Every day I look forward to reading his kind words, so full of wisdom and real meaning.
We all have something to give to others. Not necessarily monetary, but our knowledge, our assistance and even just an ear or shoulder for someone else to lean on.
The world is full of problems. We are surrounded by people in need - physically, emotionally and spiritually. They are in need of help. God provided a solution to the problems we see. It is us. As the body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12:27), we are God’s hands and feet in the earth. We are here to accomplish the work He has sent us to do. We need to remind ourselves that we have been sent to make a difference.
Prayer:
God, thank you for reminding me that I am your hands and feet in the earth. Show me who I need to feed today - whether physically, emotionally or spiritually. Help me to be the change in the world that you sent me to be. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
