They are business as usual for the US AirForce. And I can assure you that this business extends to the Special Forces and from there to the CIA and from there to the back-door access by whatever “private concerns” who are clients of the CIA. The legal firewalls between the US chain of command military, (the principle of Chain of Command being the guarantee of civilian, democratic, command of the military), and the corporate world have been dissolving bureaucratically by means of the CIA ever since the CIA was founded.
Weapons like HAARP are officially described as being usable by the US AirForce, US Navy, US Defense Research Projects Agency and “universities” and universities are private corporations. An example is the University of Fairbanks who officially owns and runs the High Altitude Auroral Research Project that beams 10 billion watts of microwave energy up into ionosphere so as to use the very atmosphere as a weapon, a Directed Energy Weapon.
The US AirForce maintains “research” facilities, said to be concerned with computers and radio waves and other “classified“ projects all over the western world. They can be on University campuses or US bases or ostensibly private corporate property. One of these is HAARP of course, sold to the U of Fairbanks in 2002 – so now it’s no longer accountable to any US Congressional Committees – but “useable” by anybody who can pay. There’s another “research facility” on Maui. Nobody quite knows what it does. That’s proprietary.
Anybody who has worked for any big corporation knows that thievery goes on. If they are willing to be honest they’ll tell you, confidentially, that the back door to the back ally is propped open so employees can steal company items for resale. The back door is physical or it’s digital. But there’s always a back door. The temptation to sell company secrets is always there and opportunities for crime will always, ALWAYS, be taken advantage of.
The back door to weapons of mass destruction is wide open. Governments don’t want it to be. But it is. Which means that nobody can really know who is really using such weapons if they are employed in acts of mass terrorism. Nobody can any longer say that even such world destroying weapons are firmly in the hands of any government. This is what privatization of the military really means. Over here in the West we are taught to call this Public/Private Partnerships and the label makes it seem legitimate. It never is. Calling crime legal doesn’t make crime legitimate, it makes the law a criminal enterprise. In Russia and China they call this what it really is, corruption. The government authorities know it goes on but they call it crime and treason; whenever they detect it they put people in prison for doing what this article blithely describes as normal.
