In one way or another, everybody has a dream of fame.
We all have a hidden wish to be recognized and valued whether it's a renowned writer or viralist on TikTok. Naturally, someone who has "made it" has the dark side of fame horror stories (and pop culture is replete with stories of its destructive impact). For the most part in season 2, episode 2, "Fame is a wicked food."
It is fair that the ghostly Nobody says the above line to Emily, but Emile's main issue is that she can become famous—but not for her poetry.
It's the annual cattle show and Emile is in full competition mode with the purpose to win the cake contest ("Let's be a moo-ve," says Austin). She cries and lets everyone know how long her cake has been soaking into a brandy (a Month) "I am going to give this town a wet sticky, generously spiced ***-kicking!"
Apple-bobbing, and plenty of oysters on sale seem to be a lot of fun, which we are very knowledgeable about – thanks to Lavinia. For Emily Norcross Dickinson (Jane Krakowski), who knows that the event gives her husband a "special mood," the fête is especially important.
