This is a picture of me holding the model of what the sculpture will look like and behind is the full scale sculpture.
For those of you who don't get a lot of snow what we do is build a four sided box and get either shovels or a bobcat to lift lots and lots of snow into the box. Once its full we will compact it and add more till its completely packed and we will let it sit in the inclosure for a day or so. Then we will remove the wood siding, so all we are left with is a rectangular snow mound, almost like making a sand castle at the beach. Then what happens next is that we will use long knifes kind of like machetes to carve out big chunks of snow.
