Relationship Tip #1: Cook your significant other/spouse dinner (with recipe)

Relationship in a small rut? Looking for quick points with your spouse/significant other? Here's a friendly tip:

Cook them dinner.

Seriously, that's it. Cook them a nice (hopefully) easy dinner that is pleasing to the eye and tastes great. If you haven't cooked for your partner recently, or ever, now is a perfect time. If you are lagging in the shared responsibility, they won't expect it and love it at the same time.

Now's the time. Show them the appreciation they deserve and cook them a nice dinner.

Suggestion:

Corn Flake Alabama Spiced Oven Roasted Chicken Drumsticks.

Prep Time: 10-15 Minutes
Cooking Time - 1 Hour

Ingredients:

1/2 Cup of Grated cheddar/marble cheese
Unfrozen chicken drumsticks (6-8 drumsticks)
1 Cup of Cork Flakes (generic or Kellogg's brand)
1 Tablespoon - Cayenne Pepper
1/2 Tablespoon - Black Pepper
1 Cup of PC branded - Memories of Alabama sauce (switch with own your flavor, you can substitute with eggs for a more natural taste)

Directions:

  1. Marinate your drumsticks with the Alabama sauce in a bowl approximately 1-2 hours before cooking. This will allow the drumsticks to seal the flavor. If you have more time, allow the drumsticks to marinate during the day and bring out 30 minutes to 1 hour before cooking.

  2. Preheat Oven to 350F

  3. Line a cooking tray with tinfoil and spray with cooking oil or substitute as necessary.

  4. In a Ziploc bag, pour your Corn Flakes or substitute and use a roller to crush the flakes, the more crushed the better.

  5. Mix the Cayenne Pepper, Black Pepper and grated cheese into a small bowl.

  6. Remove the drumsticks from the Alabama sauce bowl and mix the pepper/cheese together, ensure that the drumsticks are coated and apply any additional cheese as necessary.

  7. Add 1-2 drumsticks each to your corn flakes Ziploc bag and shake well. Ensure the drumsticks are well coated.

  8. Remove the drumsticks from the bag and add to the cooking tray.

  9. Cook for 1 hour, turn the drumsticks at 30 minutes to allow all sides to be fully cooked.

  10. Taste and enjoy!
