This Sunday, a case of Diphtheria was presented in the ambulatory Jesús Reggeti, in El Hatillo. The person lives in the Gavilán sector, rural area of the municipality.
The information was disseminated by the health address of the Mayor's Office of El Hatillo, through a statement.
According to the document, the person had recently traveled to the interior of the country and returned with symptoms.
The Health District 7 will be in charge of confirming the information and will indicate the measures corresponding to the control or prevention of the disease.
At least five people have died from the virus in the Hospital City of Valencia, Doctor Enrique Tejera (CHET), from the state of Carabobo, who presented the symptoms of the disease, which had been eradicated in the country for more than 20 years. 10 infections have been reported in total.
Although the authorities have not confirmed the appearance of it, citizens in Carabobo make long lines to be able to get vaccinated against the virus.
Last Thursday, a group of people demonstrated outside the ambulatory Miguel Franco, of the entity, for the lack of vaccines against the disease.
In the month of February, cases of diphtheria were reported in 18 state of the country, but it is the state of Carabobo that is the most affected, where the number of infected persons is not counted accurately.
