New Disc Golf Course I played Today. Technical and Really Good BUT...

in discgolf •  6 years ago  (edited)

horrible signage to tell you which next Holes to go to. Oh, well. Still enjoyed it. Even though at one section of course took me like 30 minutes to find next hole :(

It's here in San Antonio around a Community College called Northwest Vista.

Just beautiful

Hole 1 ( Below) has low ceiling. Tough tee shot. I pared it with a 3.

Gotta love South Texas and its beautiful cacti. Hole 4 I believe ( Below)

( Below) Picturesque Hole 17 with shot over water. Basket is straight under that biggest tree you can see the top of. Yep, I got wet on this one and took a 5 lol

Conclusion...

On the PDGA site I gave it 5 Stars even though they need to put more Signs up. I figure they will so I gave it a top score because it's a very good technical course with woods

P.S.

For all my Followers who do not know about Disc Golf...well there are probably over 1,500 disc golf courses in the U.S. alone. Growing like crazy ! And it's the exact concept as regular golf except you use frisbee like discs. And throw into baskets with chains instead of Holes like regular golf.

Nice to see you having fun Robert.

The Cactus looks wonderful (unless it pierces you..lol)

I have been meaning to ask you - why don't you give yourself a 100% upvote? I know you are generous but you could also use it on yourself you know smiles

Thanks. Yeah ,I usually almost always do on my own Posts. And have been doing it on some good Comments/Replies I leave at others' blogs :)

I haven't played that game for over a decade at this point. I used to play in Indiana and really liked it. Personally I liked it a lot better than the idea of regular golf because oftentimes it is a lot cheaper to play and actually can be great exercise. Me and some of my friends used to jog to the next holes to speed things up so it was like a cross country run and then had the skill element.

I have never liked regular Golf (felt it is kinda boring, only watch for Tiger Woods). This though, looks interesting

Right on looks like a pretty cool course.... great pics ;9)

I have the same problem when playing new courses. sometimes it is hard to find the next chains.

I'm putting out a call to all my fellow disc golfers to join me on Scorum. It is another blockchain social media site that is specifically for sports. I have been the only one posting about disc golf on the platform. The site is only a few months old and there is only a little over 20k users at the moment. The opportunity for early adoption is huge! My post on disc gold earned over $60 rewards. If you have ever wished you knew about Steemit at its beginning well here is a second chance to get in early to a similar platform. Hope to see you there!
