We Have Tripled The Number Of Store Closings From Last Year...
...................................................................................................................................................................................
Yeah...it's a recovery.
More People are shopping on line

Amazon is amassing a lot of power

It'd better use it while it's got it because it's time is short.
when 3D printing ramps up...why would anyone want to ship 'Stuff"
when they can download a program and print it (with custom modifications) on the spot?

Sears, JC Penney (anchor stores) and just about every single mall is in serious jeopardy.

yup...just like the chain stores and malls took all the business away from the small mom and pop stores.
Amazon, Ebay, and other online sales is taking all the business away from the malls and chain stores.

did you post this before i sent you that link? lol

dunno.
I post a couple of times a day or more.
who can keep track?

the online sales don't balance the rate of shop closures...

the economy is not recovering.......(imo)

your opinion is wrong.
the online sales EXCEED the rate of shop closures.
Americans spend an estimated $5.5 million dollars every 20 minutes on online shopping
24/7 365 days a year.

will have to agree to disagree on that one - I think we will know very soon.

any purchases on credit is a moot/disingenuous economic statistic, which will show up - horribly - if i'm correct.

you're not.
You're in Thailand.
I'm on the scene.
who'm I gonna believe
someone ten thouasand miles away
or my lying eyes.

my wife works at one of those MAJOR chain stores
she works in Dot.com
online sales..pick up at the store.
she's busy as a bee constantly.

my local Home Depot is big as a football field or even larger
(smallest in the area)
Home depot has a LOT more stuff online than it stocks in the stores.
I just ordered this.

for working in the boat.

eventually I intend to order several of these.

and one of these

same scenario

cool! - hopefully steem keeps going up! - Happy days.

(I hope I am very, very wrong,btw
I hope we are typing here in a years time, and you are telling me how stupid I was - sincerely! )

not stupid...just mistaken.
besides...I live in Texas.
we don't DO recessions...we didn't do the last one or the one before anyway...no need to start new habits so late in life.

I wonder how the major shopping malls still exist

they won't for long.
not AS shopping malls.
Perhaps the structure can be repurposed?
Low cost housing?

Like people, businesses will need to adapt. If a person wants to open a store, it'll have to be a hybrid type of place. They would have to carry inventory and be a local place to pick up things ordered from online sources.

3d printing?

Just think what’s really going to happen when the the full potential of the crypto currencies unleashes. Once there is a more streamlined system.......game over!
