DIY - old dresser, now with rainbow drawers. Hope you like it!

Welcome to my first blog on Steemit.

I love projects where I can spend many hours and stress off, if I have a little too much going on in my head. I love to recycle and be creative. This is one of many projects to come!

One of the things that I love the most is to paint and redo old dressers.
Here are a few of them - both with the rainbow effect on the drawers.

They are super easy to make. Do you want to try yourself, I've made a guide below.

What you'll need:
Paint Roller
Brush
Paint (2 colors and white)

How

First, remove all the drawers. Remove any varnish with sandpaper and clean the dresser completely. Remember to allow it to dry completely, so the paint can adhere.
Afterwards paint the edges with a brush, and then use a roller on the large surfaces.
Repeat this a few times with a few hours between.

On the drawers remove the handles and then repeat the method described above!
To create the rainbow effect mix the drawer-color with white painting, for each drawer add more and more white in order to make the color lighter.

Hope you'll like it. Always remember the most important thing: a glass of wine ;-)

That was fast.
Would be great to see a few tips/tricks of the trade in future posts. I'm terrible at DIY so any insight would be appreciated. I love that the handles look like smiles (at least to me).

Just make two dots above the handle, and you'll have smileys! :D
