Sometimes we assign a lot more significance than we should, to recovered objects!

When on an archeology dig, many curious objects are found. If the archeologist doesn't understand what they found, mistakes can be made!

The Romans used an object called a dodecahedron:

Image from YouTube, I got as a text. They assigned a religious or star tracking use; since it was always found near mountains. Compared to Stonehenge, and set it aside for cataloging.

Although this did come by text, I found the YouTube video it came from. Not exactly a stellar observatory, and it was by the mountains because That is where they needed gloves!

She makes a finger for a glove on here, in a very short time (on a 3-d printed copy) on this dodecahedron.

The simplest explanation remaining, when the strange is removed, is usually the right answer!
