For centuries, rice farmers in Asia have used ducks as a natural alternative to pesticides, letting the animals roam in their fields to eat insects and tear up weeds. But can robots take over the job? An engineer working for Nissan has built a prototype robot duck and is testing it in rice fields in Japan.
