The New York Yankees signed Gerritt Cole.  They needed pitching and they got an ace.

The move looks a lot better after today's news.  Left handed starter James Paxton had back surgery which is expected to sideline him until June.

Paxton is one of the more experienced arms the staff.  He will really help the staff when he comes back.  It also means there is a spot opening up for another pitcher.
