Tony Fernandez enjoyed a successful Major League Baseball career. He was a stand out for the Toronto Blue Jays during his 17 year career. He also played for both New York Teams.
The Canadian Hall of Famer is now fighting for his life. He collapsed from kidney disease and was rushed into emergency surgery. He had his leg operated upon.
He was a terrific fielder who could come up big at the plate. He was very smooth in the field.
It is sad to see someone so young, he is only 58, in jeopardy. We hope he pulls through it.
