Christine Lagarde did a reversal with the IMF.  She feels that governments could create their own cryptocurrency since the new tecnology is safe and proving itself.

If the governments create their own cryptocurrencies and impose the same kind of restrictions as the current banking sector (KYC, Limits on transfer etc etc), then it would defeat the purpose of cryptocurrencies. 

I don't understand why anyone want to have a state cryptocurrency something like the Pedro. That makes no sense the big advantage from cryptos are that they are decentralized, immutable and reliable for everyone. A closed government crypto currency would be exactly the opposite.
