You Need a Reset Day

It’s been two months since the start of the new year. How are things going for you? There’s a good chance that your answer is: “Not great.” There’s a good chance that the optimism and motivation and momentum you started the year with have faded. Setbacks have arisen. Unfinished to-dos have piled up.

Is this you? I inow its me most of the time, in fact, I probably need a at least 2 reset days every week lol

So formthose of younwho have been working too hard and letting things catch up with them, take a read of this.

Take a reset day, get your focus back, catch up on some sleep andnthen go again. Be nice to yourselves!

I like this idea. I noticed @shadowspub did a quarter year review about progress since the new year. I like new year and easter as times to recalibrate what I want and what I'm doing. I would do it in the summer, but then I'm usually just hanging out in the garden :) new year and easter seem more a time of renewal.

I like common sense posts like this if only to remind ourselves of things we already know but never do which I guess a lot of the 'self-help' category falls into.

If you've never seen the Ted talk that Naval Admiral William McRaven did and which is referred to in this article its well worth a watch. Its a little bit 'all American boyish' but he is a good speaker. I will find it an post it later ;-)

Hope your Steemcamp is coming on OK and you're getting plenty of delegates. I'm looking forward to seeing the reports and videos etc.

I'll have a look when I'm taking a rest break. My potatoes have grown out of their temporary home and I want to get them into the garden.

Sounds like a lovely day and the weather is lovely my Mum informs me!

Absolutely gorgeous! A bit hot for shovelling compost, though. I'll have to start earlier tomorrow.
