Germany is going to test a basic income scheme using 250 people.  This is similar to the experiment that just ended in Finland.  It is slated to start in 2019.

I think a basic income is inevitable. Most jobs will be replaced by technology. Poverty will be history. More people will be able to spend money which is good for the economy. It just needs to be fine tuned

This is good news. It shows that at least governments are considering a futre of human job scarcity and looking at alternative ways to provide income. How domthey choose the 250 I wonder? I hope its a good cross section.

There have been a few people who have crowd sourced a basic income in Germany. One of them started a soda bottling company and far as I remember employed 2 people.
Basis cola (?) Don't know for sure if that was the brand name, I can't find it. Maybe someone from Germany can remember?
