In his September 25, 2018 remarks to the U.N., Secretary General Antonio Guterres addresses issues around climate change and technology. Planning for the future, he suggests that nations consider universal basic income and encourages leaders to commit to higher ambitions in the Paris Agreement

That´s the basic problems of a nation if robots will replace the human factor to work for industries... where are we going if this will happen, what will the jobless workforce do to have income to feed his family... ???

This issue is starting to get a lot more attention.  We do not know if the robots and automation will eliminate jobs but it is better to be prepared.

 

I do not think the world is taking it serious enough.  In the UK, few politicians or leaders are discussing it.  They prefer to stick their heads in the sand.
