An old man dealer at the flea market in Vienna was done for the day and was carrying this old wooden box together with some other items unsold and put them all in his cart...The minute I saw the box, I fell in love with it so I asked him whether he would sell it to me. I guess nobody wanted it because it was dirty and the varnish was long gone, but it had potential and so I bought and took it home...cleaned, sanded, painted. I used napkins with rose design for this decoupage project, and I just thought that the result is not that bad....
I have added compartments to hold various things and it now functions as a sewing box. For the inner side of the cover, I have added a self-made stencil and it did look great with it.
