Joe Girardi is the clear cut favorite for the Philadelphia Phillies managerial position.
The team is looking for an experienced manager to replace the fired Gabe Kapler. Philadelphia had an active off season last Winter including handing out an enormous contract for Bryce Harper. This led to a .500 finish.
It should come as no surprise that Girardi is the leading candidate. Of the three the Phillies are considering, Dusty Baker and Buck Showalter being the other two, he is the only one to win a World Series.
The Mets are also said to be considering Girardi with reports that he is being invited back for a second interview.
