The coaching rumors are flying.
Latest on the list is James Franklin, head coach of Penn State, He has his team undefeated and it was announced they rank #4 in the playoff poll.
With the Florida State job open and it is expect that USC will be looking for a new coach, Franklin's name came up as someone who will be sought after for those positions.
Franklin did all he could to squash the rumors, instead focusing upon the upcoming game against undefeated Minnesota.
I am not sure why people think Franklin would be interested in either of those jobs. Both programs are a mess and while prestigious, he already has one of the top jobs in the country. Perhaps USC ranks a bit higher than PSU but not FSU.
Unless there is a personal reason for Franklin having a connection to one of those programs, I dont see it.
