“THE DECLINE of the birth rate and the ageing of Japanese society is accelerating at unprecedented speed,” warns Shinzo Abe, Japan’s prime minister. Given the scale of the problem, he told The Economist this week, the government must push for “impactful policies” to tackle it right away.

And Japan is suffering from an acute labour shortage. There are already 1.6 jobs for every job-seeker,

They can import the labour from other countries around them. There are lots of countries with much higher rate of unemployment. 

 

There are 400,000 more deaths than births each year

Too much birth control, huh! One family, one child!! Now see the effect!! Now Japan should ban all form of contraceptive methods!

 

Life expectancy is 84 years—the highest in the world.

It reflects the standard of living. also the status of medical field. 

Good luck changing a cultural thing with political means. I think he will need to do some big changes to the work culture and things like that if he wishes to rise the birth rate, allowing people to actually have the time to meet people from the opposite sex, and rise children.
