If anybody brings up this "Bitcoin is a store of value" argument. This is a great place o send them to. The situation is like the story of the fox who jumped to grab some grapes and when he couldn't the fox claims that grapes are actually sour and he never meant to grab them.

“Satoshi’s Vision” has been rehashed extensively over the years. Being overly concerned with this topic is associated with being enmeshed in unproductive tribalism.

The article is very well written and no real BTC maximalist will be converted by it. But it's a great addition to your list of bookmarks to throw at any misguided idiost on the purpose of cryptocurrency. We don't need some digital gold. Blockchain can simply track gold (and it's already doing that). EOS has lready proven to be a better solution than the actual Lightning Network: https://medium.com/@dice1/betdice-announcements-5-dec-620c8c881722

The future is bright; but not for those who believe in BTC.

Your argument is logical valid

I'm not an expert in cryptocurrencies, the whole technical issue is still a bit incomprehensible to me, but I think, and I could be wrong, that Bitcoin is far superior to the modern financial system, but also very archaic in correlation with other cryptos.
