I feel like we just had a big moment here on Steemit. How many of you actually check the trending page? Of those people…do you go there to look for up and coming Steemians?
We all know the trending page is really more of an advertising page at this point where you either need to:
Be a whale
Be voted by a whale
Purchase votes from a bot service
Can you guys remember the last time a post dominated the trending page solely because that person put out an amazing piece of content?? I honestly just thought that didn’t really happen anymore. It made me SO excited to see @bonniepiesse’s Dlive video be so well supported by the community!

Seriously, go follow her because she’s amazing and has been providing awesome content to the community for a couple months now. Not to mention she’s really sweet and super engaged with everyone she interacts with.
I just thought this was worth mentioning and celebrating – because it gives me hope that someone can invest a ton of energy into making a professional level piece of content and be recognized for it. I think any musician around the world that saw her video would feel inspired to come here and start sharing some of their passions. This would honestly be a great video to share with any of the creative entrepreneurs in your life.

The amount of work and excellence in that video is top notch, in my opinion, the best I've seen thus far. It's quite amazing that her quality content earned her such valuable upvotes with no bots and promos.

I'll sure recommend it. Just that, as of now, it's only a live class for people in Nigeria. The facilitator is planning a WhatsApp session as well for those on a virtual space. I'm still new, at the registration phase, and would like to observe and see the content before I push for recommendation. Albeit, I believe it'll be worthwhile.
Like you said, learning by observing and researching on successful YouTube accounts is just fine as well: success they say, is the application of revealed principles and means. Whoever wants to become as to look at who has been and who is.
By the way, you've made a huge success of your steem account though! I see your videos, learnt a lot from you...in case you don't know!

Yeah Steemit is definitely a different environment than other content communities on the internet. Some things are better, some worse. It’s actually changed quite a bit in my almost 1 year here too!
I think the platform will continue to evolve and I thought this example was a bright light.

yeah... it's super hard to get on trending without one of the three avenues I mentioned above. That's why I thought it was so cool that it is possible for someone to still make trending solely on quality. :)
