Love A Summer Time Thunderstorm

We are getting some long overdue rain today. It has been over three weeks since the last rain. Since a key component to growing plant is water I have been working my but off the past few weeks carrying water out to all my plants. With the heavy rain we are getting today it will lighten my lode for at least three days. YAYAYA. Thank you Mother Nature. I could use the break from lugging water in 95 degree temperatures.

The pigs are loving the rain also. Pigs aren't to crazy about hot weather. The thunderstorm has dropped the temperature from 95 to 75. And if you didn't know pigs like water. Some wouldn't think so just by looking at a pig. But they are a lot like a hippopotamus. As far as the chickens there not big fans of being wet. So they are huddled up under their shelter to stay dry but they sure are liking the temperature drop.

Nothing quite as magical as a summertime rainstorm followed by fog and fireflies! :) Awesome to stumble upon you here on Steemit. Is your farm anywhere near Asheville?

I absolutely loved that Carolina Boomer rolling in this afternoon, no watering for a few days and wow what a relief!
