It's a common strategy to fish hobbyists and enthusiasts that during brownout or power interruption, especially if it would last for a day, we would avoid feeding our fish beforehand to prepare their body from such stress as feeding them and facing an inadequate flow of oxygen and water movement could result to bloating and worst, death. So, a tip for everyone who really struggles every time there's power interruption and you don't have any battery-powered air pump or no plan to buy one just like me, then try to use the basic tactic and just control yourself of feeling the guilt or pity towards your pet of going through the day on an empty stomach and you'll gonna find them so durable and stable in a worst case scenario just like this common threat to petkeeping.
