We're Live with our weekly free to play Online Smash Bros Wii U Tournament, Smash Weekly! This event has a current prize pool of $35 USD, which is rewarded to 1st -3rd place. Players that do not place in the top 3 may request a $2 money match, sponsored by @moneymatchgaming, vs another player that did not place top 3 in today's event. We consider ourselves to be THE competitive online gaming community, when it comes to Smash Bros, and we're making steps to expand into other games, as well as to inflate the prize pools as our current events (which you'll have noticed, if you've been with us since 2017). Smash Weekly 43 | Online Smash Bros Tournament

To signup for today's event, you can grab a link from the twitch.tv stream by typing !signup or by visiting MMG's officialwebsite and signing up for the appropriate Smash Bros event(you are able to signup for upcoming week's as well, so make sure it's today's event).

The bracket for Smash Weekly maxes at 32 players, but sees an average of 26 competitors. Regardless it's a good idea to signup ASAP. If by chance you try to signup and the store reports that the event is full, you may still sub for a player that does not show up(there are usually a few that do not show up, so please sub if this happens). To sub for a player that does not show, type !sub in the twitch.tv chat or on DLive, followed by your nnid(Nintendo ID). We will use this information to insert you in the bracket for any missing players.

Smash Weekly - Event Procedure

Smash Weekly is a double elimination, best of 3, 32 person, online tournament, hosted by @moneymatchgaming the first 3 Sunday's of every month. Prizes are rewarded to 1st-3rd place.

Event Communication

The majority of discussion for the event takes place on the Twitch.tv live chat, however admins are also tuned into: DLive and Discord chats as well. We encourage players to add MMG on discord and use smash channels for voice chat if they wish to communicate with their opponent verbally.

At 7:30 PM EST, all players that have not join the chat on either Twitch.tv or DLive and typed in the command !ck for check-in, will be removed from the bracket. If the event was full prior to the removal of no-shows, a player that has used the !sub command will take their place in bracket. This usually takes 5 minutes.

Event Live Bracket

Once the bracket is finalized the event will begin. Admins will choose one match to be played on stream and all others will use the Live Bracket page on MMG's website to find their opponents Twitchtv name and nnid (the nnid is the name next to their twitch name in bracket). Matches not held on stream should resume right away and not wait for an opportunity for their set to be streamed(this slows down the tournament). It's important to remember that this is a double elimination tournament, so please find your opponent in losers promptly as to not hold up the event. All matches will be a best of 3 for time sake. If for any reason the bracket page is not showing up for you, please contact and admin ASAP via Discord or Twitch.tv whisper and we will provide you with a direct link to the challonge bracket page.
