Hey Again Steemitizens!
Here is the full replay of Steemitizens of Steem on the SteemStar Network!
Back after a weekend off to attend the Tennessee Steem Meetup, this episode starts off quickly and moves fast.
Listen in as witnesses and audience members debate various topics in our weekly open show format, on Steemitizens of Steem, the show where Anyone Can Take The Mic & Drop it!
This is my first time uploading one of our episodes to dLive.io so let's hope it works out. I am also including a link to the YouTube copy as well, in case you have trouble with this one or need an alternate source should this video "disappear" in the future for any reason.
Want a hint about how some of the discussion went?
I took this screen capture in a video game I play called Guild Wars 2, where I am known as "Sir Cork" as well or sometimes just "Commander" for short by the non-player-characters that involve themselves in my story while completing what is called a "personal story" mission just a day or so after the big debate with Luke at the meetup.
Enjoy the show.
Join us every Sunday at 10AM EST / 2PM UTC for 4.5 hours of SoS!

Thanks! I've built both of steems 24/7 streaming networks and been at it here for about a year doing "radio" - this is just one of over a dozen shows that run on the steemstar network every week!
You can learn more about the streaming network on our website at http://steemstar.net :D

No comments? Where's all the community engagement? ;-)
I guess I should catch up on what was said before I came on around ~2:50 in. Either way, thanks for having a fun, polite discussion.

Well they were at the show live, listening on replays at youtube live, twitch.tv, and on steemstar.net at any given time, also I find that I post the sunday shows as a matter of record, but the 4.5 hour format doesn't see much replay. If you look at the shorter shows they get tons of traffic.
Also of note is that I get dms about them. Most people know I'm always available so I dont often see comments as much as I see actual real time conversation.
During the 10 minutes I spent answering your comment on donkeypongs post just now, this is what happened in my discord, I had just left clean minutes before that to come back to the post.
less than 10 minutes man, and this is 24/7 for me.

You are quite active on Discord and STEEM, no denying that. I just thought it was funny that there we no comments at all. Just busting your balls a little bit.

I think you'll enjoy this one's engagement from this morning, and also probably the entire post.

Note that I published that 16 hours ago, and I have not left my keyboard during that time. I can tell you I have probably peed two or three times maybe? and I had some time to nuke a couple of slices of a pizza like 9 hours ago. Otherwise Ive been right here, "engaging" and that post was not the first thing I did today. It was several hours into my day when i did it, so that makes this oh about 19 hours in and I've got DMS stacked and waiting again...
Tell me again how you plan to do this on two platforms? :D
Just saw your mega vote. Very kind.

I don't think the amount of "work" someone does or the quantity of their engagement (as opposed to the quality) determines the value they create. We seem to differ on this point.

This was better covered on tom's post, where I was quite explicit that there is always somebody willing to do the same or better work than someone else, so if someone choose to only give half time and attention, someone will easily eclipse that.
As for what I do? I'm pretty sure in the last 16 hours, of funding charity missions, discussing pull reqs both on and off github with peer witnesses and users, planning upcoming radio content, working on various aspects of our software and multimedia offerings. posting, commenting, coaching, counseling, teaching and tutoring all did more today for user retention, education and platform well being as well as project operational tasks were all pretty valuable.
Id say looking at how much money got thrown on my points on toms post suggest the public found them valuable, and I am certain that every user I came into contact today left more educated and a better overall asset to the platform.
In fact, they will tell you so themselves.
I definitely can neither outsource that kind of wisdom to be dispensed nor do it in two places at once with any kind of efficacy whatsoever.

Oh and you'll note that just mentioning it brought listeners over from that other post and they commented over there, not here. ;)
