For me, I'm seeking a carefully-bred poodle mix, from a breeder, for the simple reason that rescue dogs make great pets, but rarely great service dogs.

      Oh, I am. Just odds are extremely poor. Only 1 in 4 rescue dogs successfully finishes service dog training, and that's if they meet initial screening. The odds of finding a rescue with the needed traits to even start is more like 1 in 100.
