You can't steal a digital image by copying it*....

I'm not sure if you are just debating the semantics of it but plagiarism is essentially stealing. I'm a digital artist and if someone else uses my image without obtaining rights I definitely consider that stealing and especially egregious if they are using it to earn money.

I think it's kind of a bad idea to put statements out that you can't steal a digital image when plagiarism and theft of intellectual property are so rampant on this site :/

If something is digital it can't be stolen? So if I take the balance of your steemit account that's not stealing? It's just code somewhere on the internet after all.

You should learn the difference between plagiarism and stealing. Copying something can never be stealing, it can only be plagiarism. You can't steal an image on the internet by copying it....

No but you can steal from a reward pool by enabling and supporting plagiarism and if we're going to argue about terminology, is it only stealing if someone knows? Because I signed up and used your app and was never informed that it takes benefactor rewards away from my payout. Expecting everyone to know what a custom json is and how it can be used to take a large portion of their post payout doesn't seem very friendly to new users. Personally I don't care what kind of apps people want to make but when the funds apportioned to the development of the block chain get involved and they're being used in ways that any stake holders disagree with then they should all be calling for accountability and transparency. The fact that plagiarism isn't technically theft is just making you come across as a morally bankrupt person that is only out for a cash grab, but looking at your app and the value it adds to the block chain I suppose it isn't hard to come to that conclusion either way. Looks like you plagiarized 9gag to me.

Plagiarism is the "wrongful appropriation" and "stealing and publication" of another author's "language, thoughts, ideas, or expressions" and the representation of them as one's own original work.
