Dogecoin is the crypt that was formed after being inspired by a "meme" (comic online illustration), which has grown a lot this weekend and has captured the value of over $ 2 million in the market.
This virtual currency has risen sharply since the end of last month when it had caught over $ 1 million per unit on Christmas Day.
The founder of this virtual currency, Jackson Palmer, who created Dogecoin as a joke, says the coin he created is a clear indicator of the growth of virtual currencies in the market, Business Insider reports.
"I am very confident in Dogecoin's development team that it will keep the virtual currency safe and secure," Palmer said.
Palmer created Dogecoin in collaboration with Billy Markus, a software engineer at IBM.
As Jackson Palmer says, they created this virtual currency "without taking it seriously" into its marketplace.
