This is a Few Minutes before Max was put down at the SPCA.
He had stopped eating for a few Days, and would lie in the Kennel all day and even when I tried Meat and milk, was not interested ,and rapidly lost weight. I took him to the SPCA where they x-rayed him
I took this photo a few minutes before they euthanised him, he turned ,put his head on my arm, and I watched the light go out of his eyes ( I am crying as I type this) even though this was at the end of March 2021
This Xray shows the large, mass inside his Body.
I walked out of the SPCA ,sat in my vehicle where I cried for about 30 Min before I felt capable of driving home.
When I returned was greeted by Trixie sitting against the Gate, my Heart Bled for Her , but if I let her out , she would have tried to Kill all the other animals there!
Every Day , she would alternate between sitting at the gate or just giving me a Vacant stare every time I left our Apartment.
I would go and sit with her, read a book or attempt to play with her every day , but she never appeared Happy again.
My Wife, Chris's best friend for Fifty years died at the beginning of November , and 3 Days later I noticed a small lump on one of Trixie's Nipple's had suddenly grown to about 100 times the size?
She was not looking good , so I took her to the PDSA in Soweto , where after a Brief Examination, I held her while they put her down as well!
Once again this upset me no end , and I made my way Home, I will not own Dogs again, as I am nearly 75 and would hate to make them feel as bad as I still do over losing them.
