Ok guys! Let me tell you a funny little story about our dogs. Bare with me. I know it's a little bit of a long read, but it's well worth your time. Jax is my favorite dog of all time, of my lifetime on this earth. He is huge, and he is funny and he is smart. Recently, my brother brought home a dog bed specifically just for Jax, because he so very large and he needs his own space. Unfortunately at first, Jax didn't want anything to do with this strange new bed, because if you'll notice in the first picture Dottie had taken over the new bed; which is obviously so comfortable to her. Dottie is the little white dog and Mya is the little gray dog. Every time Jax or Mya came near it, she would growl and start barking. As you can see in the second picture, Dottie had completely ran Jax off. Subsequently, he happily, and without a fight, retreated to an all too familiar spot on the couch. Apparently, Mya was no real threat to Dottie, because a few moments went by and soon Dottie generously allowed her a small spot right beside her on the oversized bed; seen in the third picture. Uh oh, something you should know about Dottie is that her first loyalty is 'FOOD'! Something we all can relate to. Well our girl left her post thinking she could get a piece of apple. You can see Jax in there thinking he's gonna be able to snatch a bite too. In the meantime, Tommy (my son) snuck in there with Mya and fell asleep on the dog bed. So as you see in the next couple of pics Dottie is defeated, with no apple and no bed. Jax also missed out on the apple, but carelessly stretched out on the couch dismissing the thought about the apple he missed out on. Next thing I see is all three dogs finding there way to the couch while the boy slept on the dog bed. What is wrong with this picture? Let's just say, when Tommy woke, he justifiably exclaimed that the bed was more comfortable than his own. Finally, three days later Jax found the courage to take control of the situation, gained his spot on his bed that was rightfully his in the first place, and learned the comfort of the new bed too.

Side note: I told you this was funny.

I included the last picture as kind of a comparison on Jax's size. He's just a little over a year old and has more time to still grow.
