These dogs were originally bred for hunting and can reach speeds of up to 45 miles per hour. This dog is known as the Greyhound. Greyhounds are often mentioned for there racing background and freaky speeds. Some of these canines today still participate in racing events as well as many other dog sports.

Above you can see the impact of racing Greyhounds. This is extremely upsetting and a real problem. It’s sad to think that humans are racing Greyhounds for there own joy despite the impact racing has had on them.
Beyond these dogs crazy speeds, they are loved by many for there mild and sweet nature. These dogs have an extreme amount of energy and are really easy to train making them a great family pet. They are extremely kid friendly and dog friendly. These dogs will live to be around 12 to 15 years as well.
These dogs usually weigh 50 to 85 pounds.
