This one here, she’s my Magic.
Flipside was born on 18/9/18, which is itself a special date. She was the fourth of her six-pack, and is now the only survivor, having lost her five siblings over the past five months to flea infestations and Parvo. Her name comes from having one white ear and one black ear. The Flipside.
I remember spending many nights with them, carefully hand-picking every single flea. She was the only one who would fall asleep on my lap. At two months old, three of her siblings didn’t make it.
At four months old, Flippy and her remaining siblings OutKast and Sunny were diagnosed with Parvo. While we managed to get her to the vet on time, the other two died in my arms within hours of each other.
I wailed at 3am like a mad woman. No longer would I start my mornings singing ‘Sunny! Yesterday my life was filled with rain!’ followed by ‘My baby don’t mess around because she loves me so and this I know fo’ shoooo’ as both my angels would go nuts, with OutKast shaking her tail like a Polaroid picture.
But Flippy...ah I could not lose this one. I would die. Die if I couldn’t start my mornings with ‘Flipster!’
I remember asking Vishal to call the vet to see if Flippy was ok after a week. I didn’t have the courage. I was afraid she wouldn’t have made it too.
But she did. And when I brought her home she knew her siblings were gone. She knew my heart was broken.
She also remembered those long nights of flea-picking. Those days of love and affection. The rush to the vet when she contracted Parvo. She remembered how precious she was to me and how hard I saved her from death three times: 2 flea attacks and Parvo.
Flippy is Magic. And in her eyes I am Magic. That’s really the only thing that means something.
In this world where we are attempting to be the voice for the voiceless, the purest Love can come from saying nothing at all.
Flipside. My Magic.
Beautiful. A smart magical dog where dreams come true hehe.

Make use of the tags, you can put up to five, so you can gain more exposure from others. Keep writing my friend. I used to have Lucky, and I ran out of luck since 23 years ago.
