Dole Pineapple Express

A funny thing to do is the Pineapple Express at Dole's Plant. You will see so many different fruits. Did you know how Avocado look like, are they grown on a tree? Have you ever seen Longan Trees? It is all there and you can learn a lot. Most people probably didn't know pineapple are not grown on trees.

I did it a couple of years back, but as it is fun I decided to do it again. The price is around 10 USD for an adult and 8,50 USD for a kid (They only have one ticket for both, so some people might buy Kid's tickets for Adults...)
The ride takes around 20 minutes and you can see the harvesting machines and all the different fruits. Better than 5 years of school. I learned nothing about exotic fruits and how they are grown in school.

Did you know all the different fruits in the pictures ???

I never took the train ride but your pictures were wonderful. Felt as if I was on the train. I actually live near the Dole Plant, about 7 miles away in Central Oahu. We always pass it when we drive to the North Shore. Glad you were able to experience it.

Cute little train and i like the tour, very nice photos. Its a good way to explore the nature.

Wow, I just love fruits. And thanks for busting a myth for me, I also thought pineapples grew on Pine trees!! But I wonder why most of the soil is red?

Strange, I had a pineapple smoothie from Costco this morning, took the train and posted a picture on Steem of a funny sign I saw there...and then I come across a post called pineapple express! Enjoyed it too thanks!

haha ;) yeah was nice there

You welcome my dear friend @knozaki2015..

I worked for Dole here in Honduras, used to export Grapefruit, Coconuts, Pineapples and Bananas, also tried Mangoes but they didn't work out. Right now Dole Honduras just exports Bananas and Pineapples, the Pineapple plantations are about a fifteen minute drive from where I live.

wow that so cool ;)
they seem to be everywhere

I'm sure it was worth the ride, beautiful pictures

Wow very interesting tour you went on. I've never seen most of these fruit growing before. Pinaple grows in a little shrub plant. Thanks sharing :)

yeah. it is always amazing to see how and were the fruits grow

Hey @knozaki2015 thanks for sharing the educational train ride, cute train, I have seen the pineapple plants before but didn't know they were pineapple producers , I used to have my own banana tress and always liked the look of them.

I don't know where I've heard of Pineapple express, but It wasn't this one, maybe a movie or something, it looks really hot in real life :)

Beautiful pictures and great colors, the earth there looks amazing.

I never knew that sugar cane got so big and that pomelo's were similar.

I Read about dole pineapple express, just now..
The train looks beautiful , wonderful places..
I also do not know about exotic fruits.
Thanks for sharing
Enjoy

Interesting to read this post ... thanks @knozaki2015

I live very close to "pineapple country" here in Vietnam. Dole has some contracts here as well. It is amazing how much land has been transformed from mountain side to pineapple fields. I was about to take a picture of one I bought this morning at the market but my wife just juiced it. If you're ever looking to come to Vietnam, let me know if I can be of help.

I heard that pineapple growing is bad for water levels and the environment

i hhave been to saigon and hanoi and beach so far. will ping you if i go to vietname again

I don't think pineapples are a major problem, oil palm trees are though.

Congratulations @knozaki2015
