Trump's plan is to reduce overall corporate tax rate from 35% to 20%. However, Instead of giving a tax reduction to any old corporation, why not just give it to corporations that are committed to golden innovations to further improve society as a whole?
Why not just give the tax breaks to firms looking to research and develop technologies that:
- Reduce waste
- Increase personal health
- Reduce emissions
- Empowering children from a young age to have more self-confidence
- Reduce unwanted abuse
- Reduce misinformation
- ETC.... (to be continued....)
I do understand the argument, that reducing the tax rate may stimulate more domestic growth, due to corporations not needing to conduct as much business outside U.S. as before and can keep more of their business in the United States and stimulate the U.S. economy. However, I still believe there needs to be more emphasis on doing great things that helps benefit everyone instead of just a few.
