Do the right thing

You know everywhere now there is this anti depression talk and one of them is "Live your life for yourself, don't live your life for anybody".
This actual statement has cause many people to start misbehaving & don't even mind if they are affecting people negatively. I saw something this evening that why I decided to talk about it and tell this story
I just concluded my Industrial Training at the Lagos State Ministry of Works and Infrastructure. I did my best,learnt enough & was just this normal individual doing my thing. A week of the stipulated time I was to spend, I was still going to the office just to put some finishing touches to somethings & on this fateful day a staff just arrived the office in the morning with a heavy load (she actually sells things sha) & there were about 5 other current IT student in the office even closer to her but nobody made an attempt to collect those stuffs, so I just moved closer to her collected the stuff & put it where she use to put her things. Then one of the IT student (a Lady) said "why are you this responsible", at first I thought she was been sarcastic & wanted to whine me; you grab na. So I just kept my cool, then she started talking about how calm I was, how I hardly get into anyones black book & she was going on & on. I was just still staring at her & then she said something. " You are one of the reasons I get up off my bed and still come to work believing I can make thing right and be a better person to all this people". Trust me she is in the black book of almost everyone in that office, including me ooo. Kai, That statement touch my soul, but I couldn't not find words to say at that moment so I just let it slide.
So on my last day at the office, she was like oya Tosin come and give me your number, I wouldn't let it go like that. I have a lot to learn from you, I gave her and I just said some few encouraging words to her & I was like I want to see you at the top. Okay story have end.
Now, I didn't know I was giving someone hope of been a better person in life in the office, Imagine what if I had lived my life anyhow?. What would have happened to someone like her.
Lesson: It good to live your life for yourself, enjoy your life, do your thing but it is better to always do the right thing cos you don't Know who is living on what you do and remember there is a God who is the owner of your life & can take it anytime he likes.
Like my mentor would always say. " Your life would be the Bible/book some people would ever read"
