As you may already be aware, ICObench is currently one of the most heavily-trafficked ICO ratings site online, and we've been beating them up quite a bit lately on our parody-not-parody ICO review site Tokenicide, based on the fact that their top-rated experts are obviously trading high ratings to ICOs for advisory board seats. But one thing we never fully understood was why some people seemed almost afraid of them. Well, now that mystery has been solved.
A few days ago, after we posted several critical reviews of what ICObench was doing, one of their top-rated experts went on a doxing spree, digging up an old criminal misdemeanor charge (reckless discharge of a firearm) of one of our contributors and posting it on Twitter (screenshot below), LinkedIn and even writing a whole Medium article about it (which has since been deleted), calling him a “common criminal.”
Of course, no attempt was made by this expert (or anyone else at ICObench) to actually refute the claims we made in our articles.
Although our contributor didn't really give af about the whole incident, we think it clearly shows the type of vindictive mentality at least some of the ICObench experts have. Just something to keep in mind when you’re deciding which rating sites to use (or criticize LOL).
