To Connect or Be Connected to

My iPhone allows me to be connected to the great Digital Tertiary Layer(Internet), the part of me that will live on so long as the great eraser does not erase us. Even after death, my accounts and information will be used and stored in computers around the world. Steemit is one of the earlier creations with the verification of the blockchain which I would like to participate in, I have difficulty transferring my knowledge and information from inside my mental simulation onto this computer format, so your subsequent download and decoding into your simulated experience(mind) forms a replicable meme. One you might share with someone else who thinks the way we believe things should be thought about. First Principles. I find that when my phone connects to me(notifications) it wants my attention. However I find I'm not interested in most of the information it brings me. When I come up with an idea or wish to answer a question I can search and find myself highly engaged in the subsequent information gathering and research. This is the question: To connect or Be connected to?

Telecommunication companies are amongst the largest most entrenched organizations to ever exist, it is because of them that we have global communications. For this I thank the people whose hard work allow you to read my writing. However those people know as well as we do that the people with the power inside of these companies are no longer interested in the same outcome as the commonwealth. They are so tall, they fear the fall. Provided that people come to trust each other through the verification of blockchain we can take their power right from underneath them. So they should be afraid, their network hardware is physical and can be used by anyone who is physically connected to the devices, we simply don't have access to most hardware or software that would enable use of their network infrastructure "under the radar" so to say. Though there are many  capable people they are not incentivised to do so. Yet.

What the internet needs is for its users to bring about decentralized internet connections, owned, maintained and upgraded by the operators. Wireless communications have several advantages over wired but together they will improve coverage better than either could individually. We can form a decentralized telecom owned and run by it's users, of course there will be those who just wish to use the network and participate via the connections in place in exchange they will pay at various rates which we can define as the network costs become more defined. How do we get from here to there?

Satellite Networks will be the most long term reliable network when finally implemented and engineered to handle the bandwidth required for peak global communications. Until then we will have to begin on ground level, radio communications that are in smartphones and computers can be re-programmed into network access hardware and will proliferate where their network mediation is used most and thus pays the most to its owner. They can also be made mobile and built into ART or existing structures for discretionary and off grid networking. (First Rule of Fight Club) Smartphones are the go to way to be connected to the Internet, they have several wireless frequencies, Bluetooth, Wifi, GSM, LTE, FM, which they have operable antenna embedded. I would add 27mhz and 42 mhz (walkie talkie frequency) if I had influence over design choice. The mesh networking software is already in place on both android and iOS the two champions of the smartphone operating systems. These are only implemented in specific apps but have the potential to be used for greater network interconnection for the purpose of decentralizing telecommunications. I have a few old phones, some broken, some not, which could be plugged into reliable power sources and used like mini cell towers for local communications. I imagine I'm not the only one. Old computers in people's homes can be brought online to earn their owners a small sum of money over time. Larger more effective industrial hardware can be designed and manufactured by the groups using them to meet their specifications with their available budget and projected earnings.

To Improve the Existing Network anyone with extra computer time and hard drive space should contribute to the decentralization of the web to earn income from their hardware's contributions. This seems like a no brainer but the difficulty for setting up the software on the many different hardware and software platforms in existence will prove to be difficult. Therefore we will need to create human resources and software that can install and fix the various decentralized softwares, set up wallets and contracts between us the persons whom own the hardware. This is no easy task and will require people to supervise the deep-learning and it's improvement until it achieves equal installation numbers and fixes as humans. Network participants must be incentivized to keep the hardware online for long periods and to improve the quality of their hardware.(This is a good opportinuity to create the ebay for networking items so that hardware gets transported to its most efficient use case) First we must interest the participants in the purpose of the network(decentralized telecom). Earning passive income with unused hardware is a great selling point as well. Ask them to join and offer a network token as a membership verification. Then later offering 20$ in eth by contract for keeping the computer online until the cost of electricity consumed surpasses the 20$ promo. Having a friendly and informative person set up their computer in person will also improve the odds of greater network strength. A customer service software will need to assist and mediate the users and the operators.

Building Better Interfaces

When apple or android designs their software and hardware the primary incentive is for individuals to become entwined with their systems and  regular use of their products.(Same as we want for Steemit) The brand makes its use easy and other platforms difficult in order to retain you as an phone, tablet, or computer user and customer. This way when confronted with the upgrade of hardware you are most likely to choose your previous system due to your familiarity with their platform the information you already provided is most easily accessible from their platform. The capture and recapture of attention is a core aspect in which the smartphone engages. This can be helpful for creating habits. Though there can be a problem when the company you pay is getting paid to keep your attention. In decentral systems the system still captures your attention but it pays you for your contributions and you must pay for your network usage so that the operators are rewarded and your incentives ensure your productive contribution is greater than your drain on the system. Intended to prevent the many chaotic, angry, or ignorant information spread throughout the internet since the contributions carry no deterrents or incentives either way. This is why I enjoy steemit's mentality toward media and the sharing of information.

Change Your Interface so that your connection to the decentralized world wide web provides you with the economic prosperity powered by blockchain. Though I like communicating in English and Text I find they are limited, as methods of broader communication I would like to implement a more comic like interaction with the decentralized software, for now I will remain with text until I am able to produce a Picture or Gif which appropriately communicates whatever I wish to speak of in my future posts. There exist many softwares which make it possible for me to make these digital creations I wish to share with the audience of steemit, please leave a comment below which is your favorite tool for media creation.

TL;DR

I want a phone built by a DAO rather than from apple or samsung, I want it to connect through Decentralized communication hardware and the software. The interface should be AI designed to fit each user's uses and contributions similarly to how steemit intends to run. Individuals own hardware and get paid in crypto to maintain their nodes and connections. Based on the performance and experience provided by the hardware to users the incentive is to have quality user experiences provided by the hardware connected to the network. dPhone!!

(P.S.) We are all simulations at various scales, the human brain literally simulates the external world inside itself to predict and reformulate itself until it's fragmentation is reduced to incoherence between other simulations(persons).
