Have you remembered when facebook starts? The outlook features and display of it? There is no concept of groups and pages. So steem is new born and it need time to increase its community and having better features.
As features and community increases, the price of steem will definitely increase.
Soon people understand the value of their data and they will shift to decentralized platforms.
There is no better social media platform in my view better than STEEMit. Hope for best ! 😍

New born Facebook was at the actual level of internet technology of those times. Steemit is now on the old level of the old, new born Facebook. The modern requirements are different. I'm here almost a year and the changes, advances are very slow in my humble opinion. I suppose there are not enough resources. (Money for development.)
