What's the best beneficiary cut for a steem dApp?
Reward splitting is a general way for dApp owners to get a cut from the post rewards created on their platform.
That's good way to monetize the applications. However, it maybe also frustrating for the content creators. If your dApp doesn't have big delegations from the Steemit inc. or @freedom, beneficiaries is the next source of income.
As having the bot "dapp owner" and the "content creator" hat, I find the %10 optimal for the both parties.
Disclaimer: dPoll uses %10. If we get big delegations, we will consider lowering it to %5 or %0 in the future.

Voted for %10.
I think 10% is good for a dApp like dpoll that is still growing and lacks enough support. It's even fair since it's provides the best support to its users.
I always prefer to use dApps with 0% cut but I understand and l am seeing the efforts of dpoll in supporting its users.

It really depends on the dapp and what it offers. I’d ideally want zero as I am not a fan of how beneficiaries work and they make people not want to use a dapp. It also doesn’t scale, the cost to use an app varies dramatically on your post rewards.

5% seems good to me. 15% is defintiely too high, 10% is too. I would be okay with 7%

Also important, what kind of services are you offering?
Just a Web page? 0%is enough. That market is full already.
Or some fancy stuff with badges and achievements and a nice community?
Take all you want.

If you're using the app on an ad hoc basis 10% is fine. If it is like a royalty payment - a fixed amount of all revenue - it should be way lower

10% but I like a declining split over time especially if Dapp gets hot and lots of delegation

10% is a good compromise for both owners and users IMHO.

Depends on the app, generally I think 10% is a safe bet for majority.

I think Steem-Auto does it best. They default each scheduled post to 1%, however they give you the options of : 1, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25%. I think this works best, giving users the option to split the reward however they so choose.

I'm generally fine with 10 %, but it also depends a bit on the DApp. I would probably not like to pay 10 % beneficiary for a blogging platform, simply because I feel that the blogger does the most of the work. For DApps like this one and other form of shorter communications, 10 % if fine, and I could probably accept even higher.
