Do you know about 'International Mother Language Day'?

Today 21st February observed as Mother Language Day worldwide. It was a initiative of Bangladesh as they fought for recognition of their Bangla language on 1952. So it became a worldwide celebration day after UNESCO proclaims it as Mother Language Day, to promote each one's native tongue.

You can read more about this day, it's history for this wiki link here- https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_Mother_Language_Day

In Bangladesh it's a day of celebration, national holiday and people all over the country shows their respect, mouron for the lost souls who fought for the language.

I am curious to know if you know about this day or not?

Thanks for your time.

How many languages are people using in Bangladesh?
Wikipedia:
Official languages Bengali[2]

Ethnic groups (2011[3])
98% Bengalis
2% minorities[show]

Religion (2011[4])
90% Islam (Official)
9.5% Hinduism
0.6% Buddhism
0.4% Christianity

I don't know the actual amount. There are some ethnic group who use different language. But it's not more than 10 for sure.

Well, here this day in celebrated mostly in primary and secondary schools and not the society as a whole. As a matter, I had forgotten about since it has been long for me.

The tagline for this day in Bengali:
