Of course they are spam. There is no quality behind these posts. Just some bullshit without any value.

It wouldn't be as spammy if there was room to add a personal comment before posting the fight. Would be more fun and create some community engagement around the game as well :-)

Yep. They could even add an alert system into the game with responses, upping the amount they earn by a few cents occasionally with every reply, while adding fun and drama to the game. That would add up, while adding fun.

Yup, 50/50.

They are, but honestly so are a lot of the app posts. A lot of people just post their actifit count and don't say more than the necessary 30 words or whatever it is; a lot of people post an article with DLike and don't say much of anything about it such that I don't even know what it's really about. I have never clicked on a Drug Wars post, because I don't care about it, so I don't know what they're comprised of. I just know it clogs up my feed like Candy Crush on Facebook except on Facebook, I can block all posts from a given game without having to block the friend. I wish we could do that here.

That's a condenser issue. You can do that on Steempeak.

Oh, really? GTK! I will look into that, thank you.

I think if we could add to the post, like a comment or explanation of why you attacked, but as is, it can be kinda of spammy.

Maybe if we could post different battles scenes instead of the same image over and over as well.

There should be sn optional app tag and the UIs can filter that tag by user preference. Apps that don't use the tag can enjoy some downvotes.

It would be nice to have more UI options to filter your experience of how you want it. It doesn't eliminate the usage of Steemit Inc stake.

About 1,000 Drug Wars Fight posts are created daily and around 100 are upvoted with Steemit Inc stake via @fundition.

Most are stupid like:

This is because most just use it to get a vote or don't want to leak their army composition.

So, not worth persisting in a chain. Better on a side chain or something.

Did they remove the share to SteemIt button on DrugWars? I didn't see it today when I checked.

Yes you need to use tokenBB now which makes it a comment rather than a top level post.

Thanks

This is a very engaging poll. 👍Also, DW posts are spam.

I think he was being more honest when he said he knew what it was going to say. Because he knows they're spam.

Of course, they don't have to be AS spammy. That's partially due to design decisions. But they are the definition of spam for most people...unwanted messages sent in bulk.

Of course they're not sent by a daemon, but spread out through individuals spamming their feed...but still. They're spam

Crowd-sourced. Like a human botnet...

It looks lazy. I rarely see one with elaboration. Some users litter their profile with them.
It’s my new favorite way to see who I should unfollow from my saturated following list. (I fooled too many profile s when I first start Steem back in ol’ 2017.)

Thanks for asking this excellent question. I hate to discourage a game in the Steem platform, but there has got to be a better way for Drug Wars to exist. What incentives are there to post that spam? Greater rewards for the Drug War posts that users have elaborated upon/edited?

I don’t play it because it looks spammy.
(Sometimes an Actifit post can appear spammy too, but some users make edits that make the posts more interesting.) Can’t the drugwars posts be edited? Yes, right? Maybe greater incentives for those edited posts and not the regular ones?

I’m just a silly pumpkin, but I’ll never upvote those posts unless I really really really like the profile that posted it and only if they refrain from filling they profile full of drug war posts.

Yes, spam. That being said, my impression is that the whales and OGs of the platform are ok with spam as long as the spammer has stake.

I voted yes only because I believe they fit the definition of spam. I do want to point out that I don't see any issue with them nor believe that spam is an issue on the Steem blockchain.

spam : /spam/
noun
1.) irrelevant or inappropriate messages sent on the Internet to a large number of recipients.

I think most would agree these posts are irrelevant to most users. They are also sent over the internet to a large number of recipients by the nature of the Steem chain where a group of hundreds of witnesses will validate the transaction. This is why I voted yes.

That being said I don't agree with any notion that this is an issue or any different from any other post on Steem. 90% of people's posts are irrelevant to me but they aren't irrelevant to the poster which is all that matters. Since the posts are being created with SP that is being held by anyone making such a post it's their own right to determine how the associated RCs are spent.

As for those of use who don't find value in them there are better ways of addressing them. We didn't fix email noise issues by pointing out that spam was occurring and leaving it at that. Instead there were innovative monitoring placed that enabled users to only see messages they wanted to see. We need these same granular functions in a Steem condenser that would allow each user to determine what dapps they see updates from. This was one of the reasons I was so excited for Steeve App in hopes that we can eventually find that perfect balance.

actifit post are spam?

I hate seeing them on the Hot section one after another. They don't add any value to this platform.

Most are spammy but it kind of depends on the situation.
If you really have a sick ass fight to share, then why not?
And i think people have freedom of speech, so also wouldn't flag them.

Spam or scam? Anyway, I don't play it
