One of the things in caring for your dog that is often overlooked is their hygiene. Good hygiene promotes healthy dogs and not to mention it will help keeping your home clean as well. One particular practice that is often overlooked in caring for your dogs is their paws (hands and feet :-)) Like your real children you sure wouldn't let them in the house with dirty hands and feet so why should your dog be any different?

There's one particular liquid soap that I use to clean my doggy babies and it's called Dr. Bronner's Castile liquid soap. This natural organic soap is the only thing I would use to clean my dogs with(as it is non-toxic). There are different varieties that Dr. Bronner's sell but the one that I personally use is the "mint" soap, I would dispense some of the liquid soap into a bowl and combine it with clean water. Then I would get a used toothbrush and soak it in the mixture and brush their paws clean with it then dry them with a towel.

I think it's important to keep cleaning their paws with Dr. Bronner's liquid soap every night before their bed time especially if you sleep on the same bed. Remember, dogs have souls too, they feel as you do so don't treat them any less because they can't talk.
