Hello friends steemians!
Today I came across this contest called "Draw it Again Challenge # 2!" and it caught my attention because the contest is based on taking an old work of art and doing it again, this with the reason of qualifying ourselves and seeing how much our technique has improved. I was very excited with this contest and did not know which of the old drawings I had chosen...
After being so undecided I decided for one of the many I have, I decided to do this puppy again and see how different it came out.
Having decided on which drawing to make, I took a pencil, a sheet, erased it and started to work.
If you wonder what was the procedure of the drawing then below is present.
First of all, as I did a drawing, I made the sketch to later highlight it and have the base to start shading.
Second I began to draw the fur and a little shaded base.
Third I filled in the parts of the legs, nails and nose.
To finish I gave more focus to the whole drawing in general and I made the eye giving life to the drawing.
Having finished the drawing I was shocked to see how the perspective and the way the animal looked changed, the updated looks more alive and real than the old, the old was more animated and comics.
Participating in this contest I was able to realize that my technique has improved after 3 years, one improves by practicing and these 3 years practicing and drawing gave fruits and even more because I do it for pleasure and not for obligation, I love to draw and improve for My goal is to reach more and more my goals! I had never done this to redo an old drawing, and doing it was very fun!
I thank you @jillustrations for this contest and for encouraging me to participate, and to experience this discovery.
The puppy did look like a mirror of the old one. You truly can draw. Tks for sharing this with us
