A Christian view on Dreams

Last night, I had a strange dreams. I used to dream very often, and I have a dream journal. Last night dream is a bit special. The dreams goes this way.

Someone (probably from my office, but I do not know who is he) told me that he needs to go to the moon. And off he goes. I saw him fly to the moon (literally see someone fly to the moon). He returns the next day and give me a piece of moon rock. (unrealistic - fly to moon and back only need one day). Then he tell me to store the moon rock in my safe. The rock is not very big, just about the palm size. I allowed it, but then my thoughts came - what materials made up the rock, what if it has so radioactive elements in it and caused contaminated the contents of my safe? Waken up.

What is your view on dreams? In both the Old and New Testaments, there are many cases of God communicating to his people thru dreams. A famous example in the OT is the dreams of Joseph, and how he interpret dreams for the Egyptian King, and how he saved the people from the drought. In the NT, the most well known one is Joseph (husband of Mary) had the dream of the Angel to take Mary as his wife. Another example in the NT is also Paul having dreams of food offered to idols etc.

Does God communicate to us thru dreams today? There are many ways to interpret dreams, is there a biblical way? From a scientific point of view about dreams, is dreams a process of cleaning up our minds? Let me know your thoughts and contributions on this subject.

Fun subject to write on dream. It is always so new, fresh and original but most of the time is quite illogical.
