Step to the dream

This story is about how important it is to dream and not be afraid to go to your dream. After university, I understood that I didn't want to work in the specialty (I entered and graduated for my parents), I started working in the office. But internal dissatisfaction, boredom, the feeling that I wasted time motivated me to quit, then there were different positions, I was thrown from one sphere to another and everything brought some suffering.📸

One day, I came across one book (I can't remember the author and I didn't even finish reading it)) in which I had advice - just imagine what you would like to do in life, regardless of whether you know how to do it. I lay down on the bed, closed my eyes and asked myself for the first time in my life - what do you wonder what you want? At first it was difficult - no one told me that dreaming was so important! I wasn't taught to dream. But I let go of all my thoughts and fears - "I can't do it," "who needs it," "I can't." And the pictures started to appear in my head -photography and travel - that's what made me happy at that moment, in my head! Then I came across a very inspiring film, The Secret. I made a wish board that had pictures of the countries I wanted to visit, as well as a camera, a pair of lenses and a flash that I needed to work with. Now I had a dream and a wish board, not only knowledge, support, understanding of how to do everything and money for the camera.⛰

I didn't know how to get all this, but I decided to trust the space! Nobody believed in me (unless the sisters said after each shoot that it turned out to be bombastic, thank you very much! Although it was terrible), I wanted someone to say - you can, you can do it! But I found the constant support of one person - it was me. I knew I could, I could do it! Sometimes she fell into depression, criticized herself ruthlessly, but still went to her dream)🤍

Having borrowed money, I bought an inexpensive mirror and 50mm. Through trial and error, I learned to take pictures. The first 1.5 years were difficult, a lot of debt. I upholstered the doorsteps of newspapers to become a photojournalist, but no one wanted to take a girl who couldn't do anything, only with a dream in her pocket)) I constantly filmed my sister to study and for inspiration, then for a little money her friends, then other people started coming. And one day

Do you want to continue the story of how I became a photographer and what contributed to it? I'm waiting for yours ❤️
