This took place in Salt Lake City Utah, in 2001..
I wake up to find myself in a sweat lodge. I look around and notice small pools of water everywhere. Present are two Native American men, but I don't look directly at them. I can feel them looking at me. As I'm gazing around I see my Mother, waist deep in one of the pools of water. Suddenly, in the blink of an eye I am beside her at the pool when a crocodile, comes thrashing towards her! I reach in and pull her out. It was a really strange sensation because as that happened it was like she merged with me, or went through me. (Her eyes were pure black) At that point the dream scene vanished and I went into a void for a moment. Then I 'woke up' again, I was completely aware and yet very disoriented. I realized I was standing somewhere I had never been before, as I had been training myself- I brought my hands to the level of my eyes -and had the astonishing realization that I was fully indeed 100% awake in my dreams for the first time. Fear struck me but suddenly I had the urge to turn to my left and behind me I saw a Native American man sitting on a beautiful white horse. He had jet black eyes, and was wearing a headband. When our eyes met I suddenly knew deep within my being that I was going to be okay. The panic in me subsided and I felt an ease wash over me.
I decided to go for a walk. For a second it felt like riding a bike for the first time.. Legs were a little wobbly lol I was trying to walk like I do in the daily world. Dreaming body doesn't work that way! I couldn't believe the overwhelming sense of exhilaration I was feeling!! I looked around and I was in a truly marvelous place.. the ground was soft red dirt almost chalky, and all over there were giant crystal shards coming out of the ground like trees. The sky was a perfect blue and bright and beautiful. I marveled at the beauty I was witnessing as I walked for a good while just taking it all in, and then suddenly I felt like I was running out of (dream) time. I came to a small castle like structure, with a large set of steps leading up to large wooden doors. As soon as I looked over to the steps I was beside them. (Now THAT's how the dreaming body moves) What happened next was the most realistic and trippy part of the dream.. There was a cat sitting on the steps. I knelt down. The cat jumped into my lap. He was a large black male cat, with big yellow eyes. He looked right into my eyes and I knew he was trying to tell me something, but I couldn't understand what. Then he started purring and I pet him for a moment, I remember thinking, 'Wow I can feel him breathing!" It was truly surreal. Then without warning I knew I only had a brief moment of dream time left the kitty jumped out of my lap -and I went through the large doors before me. As I stepped through it was like walking into a cloud. Then in the distance I noticed something coming towards me, and it did at a very fast pace! As it got closer it became clear what it was ... it was every single person I had ever met in my lifetime all together, coming at me at once! I panicked! I turned to my right, opened another door and went through it and fell into blackness.. After a few seconds of falling, I woke up, again, in my physical body and sat up in my bed with a start.

This comment is unreasonable. Not logical. Mirror neurons and fear based emotional trauma response are at play. Unresolved issues will prevent one from being present with their self. Equivalent to driving forwards while looking backwards. We are mirrors. You cannot understand the ocean by looking at a single drop of water. And yet, you can.

But don't you think it's normal for such things to happen when you have a dream like that?

Hello. Thank you for your question. I will try and answer it for you as best as I can. It is normal and it isn't normal.. let me explain. It is not normal because people do not usually, A: become lucid in their dreams/retain consciousness when they fall asleep. B: may not see a purpose behind it, or C: may not physically be capable of it. So to those individuals, no it would not be a normal dream but they would never have a dream like this to begin with, so it's a non issue. Now I will explain why it is normal. Dreaming is normal. It is also normal to be conscious, therefore, logically speaking if I have the capability to be consciously aware in my dreams then I choose to do so. There is information and experience there that I would have otherwise missed out on. This kind of dreaming is called Shamanism or sorcerery. That word has a negative connotation because of our cultural upbringing but it simply means perceiving all that is humanly possible. It is the job of Shamans to enter these other worlds, and bring back new information. If they do not bring back new information then it is a failure. Please understand, we are dreaming all the time 24/7 whether we are awake or asleep, the function of the mind is to dream. The trick is simply being consciously aware of it. We can train ourselves to maintain consciousness when falling asleep. Sounds weird but it's a thing. Unfortunately, due to the barrage of conditioning in our 'modern' culture, as a whole we have disregarded the value and meaning of dreams and dreaming. Even every day ordinary dreaming is highly important to the overall function and mental health of our nervous systems and well being. However this kind of dreaming in particular has a purpose. There are 7 major gates or chakras in the body, each of them correspond with a physical organ. For example the "third eye" is the pineal gland. (The pineal gland is mostly filled with water. If you read my other posts about how we live in a virtual reality you will see that water is a medium of transmission) and this kind of dreaming activates or engages each of the chakras in the body one at a time from the base all the way up to the crown. These kinds of practices are no secret. Many different traditions all around the world practice them. In Buddhism it's called the Rainbow body. The Mayans call it Jaguar Time. Modern researches such as Stephen LaBerge have done years and years of fantastic scientific research on lucid dreaming. The ancient Egyptians regarded dreams as sacred and holy and visions and information from these realms aided in their creation of their entire culture and civilization. Due to English language we have been cut off from our ability to know without using words. Intuition is the most powerful part of the human spirit, and for some dreams can serve as a bridge to closing the gap between heaven and earth. Namaste.
