Purple Gatorade Shot Recipe
This purple Gatorade shot recipe contains Grape Vodka and Blue Curacao. It also includes grenadine, sweet and tart mix, and a little Sprite.
Good luck if you are looking for atrue purple Gatorade recipe. Before I published this recipe, I wanted to make sure that I had all the ingredients. I searched the internet, YouTube, and Tiktok. It was surprising to see how many versions there were of this recipe. I tried several, and none was the same that the purple Gatorade.
This recipe you can trust. It tastes just like purple Gatorade. As far as I'm concerned, this is the shot recipe everyone used. If you have a different recipe that tastes good and mimics Gatorade's taste, let me know. If you agree, I will add it here.
This is also known as a Purple Pooper in areas of the USA. It all depends on where you are from.

Ingredients

1.5 ounces Grape Vodka

1 oz Blue Curacao

1 ounce sweet and sour mix

1-ounce grenadine

Sprite or 7up

Equipment

Shaker

Strainer

Shot glasses and rocks glasses

Instructions

Grab your cocktail shaker and a strainer.

You can also add a few ice cubes to your shaker.

In a shaker, add the blue curacao and grape vodka to the mixture. Add the grenadine and sweet and sour mix to the shaker.

Allow the mixture to cool for a few seconds.

Divide into three shot glasses or one rocks glass.

Add Sprite or 7up to your mix.

Serve!

Notes You can make either three shots or one drink, depending on how you serve it or how many of each ingredient you use.

How to make Purple Gatorade Shot
A shaker and strainer are essential. You will need a shaker and a few ice cubes. Add a shot of Grape Vodka and an ounce of Blue Curacao. Mix in the sweet and sour mix. Finally, add the grenadine. To chill the drink, shake it for a few seconds. Mix the ingredients in a shot glass or rocks glass. Add Sprite to finish. Then drink up!

Here are some tips for making this recipe.
I prefer to use a rocks glass over a shot glass. It looks better, and it's easier to use a rocks glass if you follow this recipe. (See measurements at ML here. This recipe can make either three shots or one highball "drink" that can be used as a shooter.

Which glass should I use?
You can use three-shot glasses or a rocks glass (my personal preference).

About the Ingredients
Grape Vodka I love using the Smirnoff brand as it is affordable and a good vodka to mix with. Three Olives Grape Vodka is a better choice.
Blue Curacao DeKuyper works well for this.
Sweet and Sour Mix - Rather than buying a premade mix, why don't you make your own mix? It's so much better!

What is a Purple Gatorade Shot, you ask?
This is one of those copied recipes that has become all the rage like a Cinnamon Toast Crunch shot or any other! It tastes exactly like Purple Gatorade. This is why I call it the "real" recipe.
