March 9, 2011 @ 1430 hrs, I provided testimony to the inquest at Magistrate Criminal Court 6.
Fatal Motor Vehicle Accident at Jalan Maarof, Bangsar at 5.18 am on September 10 2009. I was having sahur at McDonald's when I heard a car zooming past the traffic lights outside from Damansara Heights heading towards Jalan Bangsar when I heard crashing sounds. This speeding Proton Satria (AEC 49) hit TWO (2) streetlights before overturning. The driver, a Punjabi (Sikh) male, was lucky to escape alive. He was not bleeding but was sitting beside the road, albeit in a bit of a daze. The Indian chap who took offense to my taking the video is wanted by the Police for questioning. They would like to take a statement from him as they believe he was in the car in front of AEC 49. Please contact the Investigative Officer, Inspector Robiaton 03-2071 9999 of the Jalan Bandar Police Station.
Appeal for Witnesses
One person died in this crash and it is becoming clear that he was the passenger. Witnesses are kindly requested to contact Mr Balakrishnan Pillai 012-238 0344, 03-3373 9230 father of the deceased, or Inspector Robiaton 03-2071 9999.
